Anstruther

Here is some photo's taken on Monday 26th April 2003, a lovely warm day temp was 18c, we were visiting Duncan and Sadie, then went to Anstruther, promised ourself a fish supper from the most famous fish and chip shop, People come from miles to have a fish supper, they win award every year.

We have this week our annual Links Market visiting Kirkcaldy,  fun filled entertainment for all the family, celebrate 700 years of Kirkcaldy's heritage from the early days of the Links Market as a barter market in the time of Robert the Bruce, to becoming Europe's 21st Century longest street fun fair.

This is the River Tay Railway Bridge which connects Fife to Dundee.
 
One dark night in January in the 1880,s disaster struck when the original  Bridge collapsed into the sea sending a train full of Fifers into the icy waters ,  there were very few survivors.
